Developed in collaboration with leading figures in Montréal’s creative industry, the new Creativity and Innovation profile of the Arts, Literature and Communication program offers students a unique approach designed to stimulate their creativity and prepare them for a career in today’s world of innovation, strategy, marketing, multimedia, visual arts technology, gaming, and other leading-edge sectors.

CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION PROFILE

The time has come to equip tomorrow’s creative minds with concrete tools. Using an innovative multidisciplinary educational approach, we teach young people to think creatively. The Creativity and Innovation profile is a unique program that prepares bright young minds to put their potential to work in a Québec that is renowned for its bold and creative entrepreneurs. The curriculum includes courses on the arts, communication, creativity, business, strategy, technology, original thinking and end-of-studies project with companies operating in the sector.

The Creativity and Innovation profile is designed to be an exceptional springboard that prepares young students for the world stage.

Average required

An overall average of at least 75% is required. The overall average is the weighted average of the Ministry results for secondary 4 and the most recently available secondary 5 report card.

Any student not meeting these requirements may send a letter to the Director of Studies requesting an exception.

HOW IS THE CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION PROFILE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ARTS, LITERATURE AND COMMUNICATION PROGRAMS?

This program gives you access to teachers and guest speakers who are active in a variety of sectors, equipment featuring the very latest technology, and modern educational techniques.

IF I WANT TO TAKE A UNIVERSITY PROGRAM THAT REQUIRES MATHEMATICS, IS THIS THE RIGHT PROGRAM FOR ME?

The idea of ​​adding pre-university mathematics courses in the field of administration is interesting. However, these 3 prerequisites (201-103, 201-203 and 201-105) are not part of the program, which does not invalidate their compatibility with the ALC schedule. There are other alternatives, such as distance courses or summer courses.
To follow this sequence of mathematics, you must have passed the mathematics SN or TS of secondary 5 with a score ≥ 70%.

WILL THIS PROFILE GIVE ME A BASIS IN MARKETING AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?

Certainly—courses in marketing and creative business management are part of the program.
